19. Video Game Rage Takes Over
I’d been playing my favorite video game for hours, trying to beat a hard level. When I lost for the 20th time, I threw my controller across the room, yelling, “Stupid game!” My little brother walked in, scared. I felt awful — I’d let a game make me angry enough to scare him. I picked up the controller, sat down with him, and said, “Want to play a fun level together?” We laughed, and I forgot about the hard level. Video games are supposed to be fun, not stressful. Now, when I get frustrated, I take a break or play with someone else. It’s not about winning; it’s about enjoying the moment.
