My Weekend Hiking Trip

Last weekend, I went hiking with friends in the mountain trails outside the city. The path wound through dense forests, where sunlight filtered through the leaves in dappled patterns. We stopped to admire a small waterfall, its clear water cascading into a rocky pool. Birds sang overhead, and we spotted a family of deer grazing in a meadow. Halfway up, we sat on a rock to share sandwiches and fruit, chatting about our week. The final climb was steep, but the view from the summit was worth it—we could see the entire valley below, dotted with villages and lakes. On the way down, we collected pinecones and took photos of the sunset. Tired but happy, we arrived home as the stars began to twinkle. It was a perfect way to escape the busy city life.
